Delta Associates Foundation provides resources to surrounding communities that fosters positive change and a foundation for educational, economic, and social growth and expansion.
Referrals
DAF offers referrals and an annual community resource guide of programs, services, and financial assistance offered by public agencies and organizations throughout Southern California affecting a variety of populations including seniors, youth, and families with limited resources.
Training
DAF provides workshops, seminars, summits, and panels designed to provide community residents with an opportunity to connect with industry experts on a variety of topics including financial literacy, health & wellness, college preparation and exploration, community redevelopment, political awareness and senior advocacy.
Youth Development
DAF collaborates closely with the Los Angeles South Bay Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to offer meaningful youth development opportunities to youth and young adults ages 11-18 including Delta GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) for girls ages 14-16 , Delta Academy for girls ages 11-14, EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) addressing the specific needs of African-American males, Crimson Jewels Cotillion Program (financial literacy, life skills, etiquette, career exploration and college prep program for
teens).
Health & Wellness
In collaboration with members of the National Pan Hellenic Council, DAF participates in health fairs offering screenings for HIV, diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and hypertension. Walking programs and fiitness challenges.
